CHILDRESS — Eight Monson Music Studio vocal students performed 17 signature songs, including “Every Little Thing” by Carlene Carter,“The House That Built Me” by Miranda Lambert, “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor and more, at the 2nd Annual Signature Songs Concert at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 5 at the Palace Theater.

CLARENDON – Wellington FFA members competed at the recent Greenbelt District speaking contest where three young ladies qualified for area. Lisette Vela placed first in Senior Prepared - Natural Resources, Jasmin Moreno placed second in Senior Prepared - Ag Policy and Bailey Page placed second in Junior Prepared - Public speaking.

CANYON – On Friday, April 19, Collingsworth County 4-H took 19 youth to compete in Plant Identification at the District 1 4-H Roundup contest on the campus of West Texas A&M University. Placing first and advancing to Texas State 4-H Roundup in June at College Station is the Senior team of Charlee Bodine, Dixon Dugan, Emma Flores, Christell Melendez and Kenady Skelton.

CHILDRESS — Modern Home Club recently met Thursday, April 18 at the Childress County Heritage Museum. Soundra Christy opened the meeting, welcoming members and guests.

WELLINGTON – A wedding shower honoring Jace and Blair Testerman Martin took place Saturday, April 13 at the Lewis Building in downtown Wellington. Pastel and bright pink roses with beautiful greenery adorned the tables.
