CHILDRESS — Childress We Can Care, a nonprofit organization aiding Childress County cancer patients, hosted another “successful” Mexican Stack-Up Fundraiser Thursday, May 2 at First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. “The 14th annual fundraiser for Childress We Can Care was a big success,”Childress We Can Care Board Member Barbara Sue Parr said.

WELLINGTON – On Friday, April 12, Wellington Future Farmers of America (FFA) students competed in the Wichita Falls Weld Off. “We ended up getting 14 welding certifications, and four Wellington students placed in the contest portion,” said Wellington FFA Advisor Drew Taylor.

CHILDRESS — Eight Monson Music Studio vocal students performed 17 signature songs, including “Every Little Thing” by Carlene Carter,“The House That Built Me” by Miranda Lambert, “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor and more, at the 2nd Annual Signature Songs Concert at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 5 at the Palace Theater.
