Lue Janette Crockett, 78, of Memphis, Texas, died Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in Memphis.

Memorial services took place at 1 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2024, in the Memphis Church of Christ with Mark Lance officiating. Private inurnment will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis. Cremation and arrangements were by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.

Lue was born June 30, 1945, in Quanah, Texas, to Dewell Allen and Betty Jean Decker Collins. She married Charles Wayne Crockett on May 25, 1964, in Clarendon, Texas.

After Charles and Lue married, they lived in McLean, Texas before moving to Wheeler, Texas, where they had lived for several years. The couple later moved to Memphis, where they lived the past 16 years.

Lue was an excellent homemaker, and she enjoyed gardening, her yard, crocheting, sewing, making clothes and doing a little bit of everything. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on April 7, 2024, and a sister, Sue Madrid.

Survivors include her daughters, Chandra Crockett and Becky Crockett and husband Kevin Huddleston, all of Memphis; her sisters, Kay Blum and Rita Flores, both of Memphis; five grandchildren, Trenton Crockett, Braden Crockett and wife Beth, Kate Smith and husband Cam, Kooper Huddleston and Tori Huddleston; one great-grandchild, Josie Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
